Rankings come from our projection model (season-long fantasy points), tiered by scoring gaps; VOR = value over replacement (points above a replacement-level player at the same position) — the standard way to compare value across positions. The RB VOR numbers tell a two-part story. McCaffrey and Bijan Robinson sit in their own stratosphere near 200 VOR, roughly 40-50 points clear of the next tier — but Achane, Gibbs and Barkley then bunch within eight points of each other (145.1, 139.9, 136.8). That means missing the top two RBs isn't as costly as it looks on paper, since the RB3-5 tier is essentially interchangeable by this model's math.
The QB board shows a similar but sharper split. Josh Allen's 141.6 VOR dwarfs Jalen Hurts' 84.4 by 57 points, yet Mahomes, Mayfield and Lawrence are separated by less than a point and a half. That kind of flatness below the top option is exactly the pattern that argues for treating the position as replaceable once the true outlier is gone, rather than chasing name value in that second tier.
Tight end is the most bimodal group on the board. Trey McBride's 116.1 VOR is nearly double Brock Bowers' 62.5, but from Bowers down through Kelce, Loveland and Fannin Jr., the gap to fifth place is only seven points. Worth noting that two rookies (Loveland, Fannin) already project alongside a future Hall-of-Famer in Kelce — a reminder these are model projections built on limited or no NFL data for the rookies, not settled outcomes.
