Methodology
Rankings come from our projection model (season-long fantasy points), tiered by scoring gaps; VOR = value over replacement (points above a replacement-level player at the same position) — the standard way to compare value across positions. The board updates daily as injuries, depth charts and matchups shift. Last updated: October 13, 2026.

The headline story in this week's board isn't who sits at No. 1 — it's how steep the drop-offs are at each position. Running back dominates the top of the VOR rankings, with six of the top ten overall spots, because the gap between McCaffrey (207.1 VOR) and even a solid RB5 like Saquon Barkley (136.8) still dwarfs what's happening at wide receiver. That tells you replacement-level production at RB remains thin league-wide, even in an era of committee backfields.
Quarterback is the position where tier logic matters most this week. Josh Allen's 141.6 VOR looks like a true outlier — more than 50 points clear of Jalen Hurts, who's already clear of the pack. But from Mahomes to Lawrence, the QB3-5 tier is separated by less than two points of VOR. That flat landscape is the classic signal of streaming-friendly depth: outside the top two, the difference between 'your' quarterback and the waiver wire is marginal.
Tight end tells a similar but more extreme story. Trey McBride's 116.1 VOR is nearly double Brock Bowers' mark in the No. 2 slot, and the gap to Fannin Jr. at No. 5 is almost nonexistent by comparison. When one player clears the field by that margin, the position effectively splits into 'McBride' and 'everyone else' — a dynamic the raw points totals alone don't fully capture.
