The steepest cliff on the entire board isn't between Tier 1 and Tier 2 — it's inside Tier 1 itself. Chase, Nacua and St. Brown all clear 120 VOR, but Jefferson at the No. 4 spot drops to 79.7, a nearly 40-point gap. That means the true 'elite' bucket this year is three players deep, not six, even though the tier grouping keeps all six together.
Davante Adams sitting at VOR 67.3 — good for sixth overall — while carrying an ADP of 42 is one of the odder splits on the board. Team context (a crowded LA passing attack with Nacua already locked in as the alpha target) is the likely explanation for why the market is pricing him as a mid-tier WR3 rather than a top-six asset by projection.
The reach list skews heavily toward unproven draft capital rather than proven usage: Hunter, Golden and Pearsall are all being drafted well ahead of any established target-share track record, which is a familiar pattern with rookies and post-hype breakout candidates — the market is pricing potential, the model is pricing history.
Worth flagging: Stefon Diggs and Chris Olave land on identical projected points and VOR (220.3 / 43.9) despite completely different situations — a new-team veteran versus an established WR1. That convergence is a reminder that these are model outputs built on limited variables, not certainties, and situations can diverge fast once the season starts.
